Zara x Windy City

As you know I am from the windy city and I am used to bipolar weather, but this weekend it was weird in  Phoenix. I planned to capture a few looks throughout the day. In the morning it was sunny, then cloudy, then sunny again, then windy, then rained. After it rained it was beautiful, but the sun was already down.

So during the windy moments and right before it poured down, I was able to quickly capture this look. I was going to redo them, but this is real life and I am busy.

28 Shift & T-shirt Spring/Summer Dresses x Asos

Today I am featuring another large list of my favorite looks from ASOS. I choose ASOS's because they have such a large selection of items and a wide price range. I also don't want you to have to go to several different sites to buy my top picks.

I mentioned before that I will be living my life in fun shift or T-shirt dress all summer long. So while looking for inspiration I found my wish list. My favorite so far is this blue fringe dress!

Anything black and white is a must have for me.

Wind Breaker x Carnival

I want the 90's to come back. I feel like it is back, but not in full effect like I want it to be. I want to see more wind breakers and bucket hats. I feel like it is coming in spurts, but not all at once. If Hilary gets elected into office, man IT would feel like the 90's to me.

I would just watch Free Willy, Martin, and old ass Real World episodes all day. I already bought a buck hat. Also why did wind breakers go away? Do we hate them?

I bought mine for $2. Wore it a few times already, with my bucket hat. I should've captured it.

Anyway, doesn't this top remind you of the carnival? Do you know how many snacks I can sneak in the movies with this top? If you don't sneak snacks into the movies, then what are you doing?

Pleats x Tunic

I went to the mall this weekend, trying to find a swim suit and dress for Vegas. I ended up getting a few items on sale that has nothing to do with Vegas. The other half of the items I have to take back because they don't fit right.

The mall was suffocated with hippie attire for the Coachella trend and overpriced basics. It was quite depressing to see almost the same thing in every store.

The only store that stood out was Zara, but they don't have much Vegas attire in there. They did have a sale that I benefited from and can't wait to capture.

My friend reminded me of a few dresses I bought during my clubbing days. So I reached in the back of my closet for a few freakem dresses (in my Beyonce voice). They fit great...*kanye shrug*.

H&M x Tyler The Creator x Random Pics

The other night I went to a Tyler The Creator concert with my coworker and best friend. If you are not familiar with Tyler, he is a young rapper who is a part of Odd Future, which also includes Frank Ocean.

Tyler's music is a bit raunchy, creepy, and probably made for college kids. The reason why I enjoy him is because I studied his lyrics and appreciate his story. It is actually deep. He also reminds me of my brother a lot and did I mention Frank Ocean? I took a few pics and shared them at the end of this post.

Anyway I recently ran into a couple from Instagram at a fashion show in Phoenix. They are so cute. He was wearing this shirt and I spotted him in the crowd. I saw this shirt previously, but I didn't buy it until I saw it on him.

Powder Pink x Germs

I apologize for being a bit M.I.A. this week. I had a few family emergencies and the day off. So I decided to hold back on posting anything yesterday, just to share these pics I took yesterday. I planned to capture this look for spring a few weeks back, but I was waiting to get a chance to go back to one of my favorite murals.

This is just another part of the house that is covered in street art. The Bando is what I call it, but I think I need to think of another name. It is just so dope!

I think they are painting new murals, because some of the murals were striped. A few of my favorite ones, so I am happy I had a chance to capture them before they were replaced

This mural is one is a favorites because of my love for pink and my hate for germs. I am not sure if the germs here means nasty ass people or a metaphor for something else, but I had to vent about it.

The fact that I work with people who chose not to wash their hands after the bathroom...lord!

Polka Dots x Pretty Woman

Do you believe in speaking things into existence? I swear every time I speak on things, they come. Maybe not the moment I want them, but they always do. Even little things like fashion lol.

I was watching Pretty Woman a few weeks back and she was wearing a brown dress with white polka dots. I love polka dots and was thinking, damn I really love that fabric. I wanted to find that fabric or a similar fabric as a top or skirt. Fast forward to two weeks later in the store and found it!

You may say luck, but I say the universe is on my side at all times. I even wore the pearls earrings to complete the Pretty Woman look.

Top 41 Spring Ready Shoe Picks x Asos

I am finally putting gathering some Spring wish lists to share. I haven't had much time to put it all together, but I am working on it daily. I don't want to just create a  boring list of what every other blog is creating. There will be items I actually want and would actually pay for. Those things take time. Quality over quantity.

Also, it is nice to see things that are not normally shown by every other blog. I might call it "Investments" instead of a wish list. Anyway I was browsing through one of my favorite online shops, ASOS.com, and ran across so many cool shoe finds. Too many to only list a few. So I am sharing my top 41 picks. 41 is an odd number, but I couldn't knock off one. Prices ranging from $25 - $300.

I categorized them by type, starting with my favorite, patterns.

Patterns:

$76

$68

$172

40 OZ Bounce x Art Walk

I recently went to the Phoenix First Friday art walk and found some dope ass street art. As most of my friends know, I am a clown and this is my favorite street art yet.

Since I am not drinking alcohol for the next 24 days, I am trying to have fun with this water thing. The only 40 ounce I am drinking is this watah! Yes, I have a brown paper bag and a 40 OZ water and I am mad I couldn't find my gold hoops.

Red Rover X Reebok

Good Friday it is indeed. It is day 3 of my water challenge and it's getting easier by the day. The only thing I hate is getting up to go to the bathroom every 20 minutes. It is awful. I also realized I was drinking over a gallon a day, so now that I know that, it will get a bit easier hopefully.

You still have time to join me and my mission to donate to The Water Foundation. See more details here.

Anyway I haven't worn a full red on red look yet, except for my Christmas look. I thought this was nice for Spring. Total cost $40, minus the clutch and glasses.

Day 1 Water Challenge - Infused Water

Today is day 1 of my drink a gallon of water a day challenge and so far so good. I am on my second quart of water, a total of four to make a gallon. I figured I will break it up into sections of the day for the best results.

In the morning before work, before lunch, mid-afternoon, and evening. I think the main issue I am having so far with the water is going to the bathroom every 15 minutes. I had to pull over at McDonald's this morning on my way to work to use their stalls. So I have to plan out, the best way possible, to be near a restroom during my drinking binge.

Remember I am donating $10 for everyone who joins my challenge to The Water Project. The Water Project assist rural countries with access to clean water.

Get to Know - Recho Omondi

Since water is a bit off track from Fashion and boring lol I wanted to share a new designer. I spotted her designs on Instagram and fell in love with them ever since. Based in New York, Recho Omondi gets her inspiration by her African heritage.

She studied at Savannah College of Art and founded her label in 2013. Her Fall 2015 collection is everything I ever wanted. Pastels, crisp lines, sequins, and grey tones! Leaving my speechless. Not to mention the entire women of color models.
